Epic evening

Journal Entry: Fri Apr 25, 2008, 4:41 PM
My flashes have arrived, AND the new Opeth leaked tonight, plus I'm sort of tipsy from partying with colleagues. Gonna wallow in shame from dancing with 50 y.o + biology teachers tomorrow folks.

Expect self portraits and other flash experimenting soon. Also, listen to the new Opeth ffs, it obliterapes. Oh, and grab yourself a brew :drunk:

bah just shoot color slides and scan them ! :D haha. Medium format glass tends to be a lot sharper and better quality. Also, films colors come out a ton better straight out of the camera than digital does and tends to have more vibrant colors. Also, the Depth of field on MF cameras are soo much nicer. A good starter medium format setup would be a Bronica SQ-A. A whole setup tends to go for around $300 - $400.

U have inspired and motivated me to release a photographic material I have from 2003. It isnt professional at all, but I loved doing it.

Thanks for that! Keep up the hard work!.

Thanks! Heh, yeah, maybe they would.. I don't have the money or time OR living space to get a medium format camera and darkroom equipment at the moment though..

Also, I need to find out more about medium format in any case. What would make it better?

your architecture and landscapes shots are really nice, but i think could be loads better if you started shooting medium format film.

I really want to give analogue and darkroom a try, but I don't have the money or room for it. I live in a really small flat :tears: I love the texture, grain and happy accidents darkroom work can result in. I checked out your photography account earlier, I'll have a look on your website later on.

Why did you move to Norway in the first place? If you ever have a question about the norwegian language, I'll be happy to try and help. I'm not a language teacher though. I stick to science and biology ^^

Yeah, I´ve been travelling everywhere with my cameras since years already, so I know what do you mean about it. I just do not use this account for photography, and mostly of my sutff is not on the net, but you can find a gallery on my website or some here in other account. I just want to install again my darkroom and keep back on developing and doing traditional stuff with the quimics, infrared films again and old methods of developing. But mostly those years I´ve been using the digital reflex ones for all my trips. I even made an exhibition about northern Norway landscapes in Barcelona last year in 4 different places. =)

Trondheim was very nice when I arrived in february, snow everywhere. I just been at the Gardemoen for the last 4 years that I´ve been coming to Norway for vacations, so I have planned trips to Oslo as well. I am looking for a job in Trondheim, to survive and make my life there, not that easy without the language, but hungry to learn!

I'm on phototrips all the time! Sadly just around town or when I'm at home with my parents. Since you just moved to Trondheim, you should go on frequent phototrips around town yourself, that way you can get good shots and learn your way around the city at the same time ^^

I went to Trondheim last winter, it has got some beautiful locations. Ever been to Oslo? What are you doing in Trondheim by the way?

hehe, no problems! yes, I just moved a couple of months ago to Trondheim, so there is a looooot to learn and to do now! Your compliments are understood and thanks for them! ;) Would be great to try a phototrip sometime, ha? I must go back to prepare my darkroom again.
